Synopsis
From Irvine Welsh, the writer behind Trainspotting, comes The Acid House (1998) — a film you can watch online on iFILM. Three stories out of working-class Scotland, stitched into one pitch-black, gleefully filthy anthology.
In the first, a loser meets God — a foul-mouthed old man — and gets turned into a housefly. In another, an acid trip drops a debauched mind into the body of a newborn. Director Paul McGuigan works straight from Welsh's own short-story collection, and the author himself turns up on screen; Ewen Bremner, Kevin McKidd and Michelle Gomez head the cast.
This one isn't for everyone — crude, provocative, soaked in chemicals. It's the same drugged Scotland as Trainspotting, only nastier and stranger. Stream The Acid House online on iFILM.
