Synopsis
"Garm Wars: The Last Druid" (2014) is a Japanese-Canadian sci-fi action film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Mamoru Oshii — the filmmaker behind the original Ghost in the Shell. The setting is a world called Annun, where three tribes of clone soldiers have been fighting so long that no one remembers why. Air, land, technology from a lost civilization: pick your weapon, die, download, repeat.
One clone is separated from the front and ends up on the run with strangers — including Lance Henriksen and Kevin Durand. Oshii uses the premise to ask what a soldier is when there is no battle left to fight, and whether something counts as alive if it can be rebooted.
