Synopsis
The Wizard of Gore (2007), directed by Jeremy Kasten, is a horror mystery you can watch online on iFILM — a stylized update of Herschell Gordon Lewis's 1970 cult shocker. Montag the Magnificent runs a carnival hypnosis act where he takes volunteers onstage and apparently saws, crushes, or slices them. They walk away unharmed. Hours later, each woman turns up dead — killed in exactly the way Montag performed.
An underground journalist (Kip Pardue) and his girlfriend (Bijou Phillips) start piecing together the deaths. Crispin Glover plays Montag in a performance that lands in exactly the register only Glover occupies — distant, precise, off in a way that's hard to name.
