While hunting them down, he keeps crossing paths with a mysterious golden Orb — an artifact with powers that clearly don't belong in the Old West, dropping future-tech anachronisms into the dusty plains. Riding with him are the no-nonsense bounty hunter Lord Bowler (Julius Carry) and a horse named Comet who behaves like he's the smartest one in the room.

The show lasted a single season of 27 episodes on Fox, yet it built a devoted cult following and is often named as a forerunner of genre mashups like Firefly.
