Red Dwarf (1988) is a BBC British sci-fi sitcom you can watch online on iFILM — all seasons, from its launch in 1988 through its ongoing revival run. Dave Lister (Craig Charles) wakes up three million years after a radiation leak wiped out the crew of the mining vessel Red Dwarf, making him the last living human in the universe. His only company: the holographic recreation of his insufferable bunkmate Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie), a humanoid creature evolved from his cat (Danny John-Jules), and a mechanoid called Kryten.

Creators Rob Grant and Doug Naylor spent the first seasons building a comedy out of Lister's desperate hope of reaching Earth and Rimmer's desperate hunger for respect he never earned. The two men despise each other in ways that only grow more inventive as the show runs. What makes it work — genuinely, not just as a cult relic — is that the sci-fi concepts are real. Time loops, parallel universes, and artificial intelligence all get played for laughs without being dumbed down.
