Synopsis
Forever Young (Les Amandiers, 2022) is a French drama from director Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi that you can watch online on iFILM. In the late 1980s, four twenty-year-olds audition for a famous Paris acting school and get in.
Stella, Victor, Adèle and Etienne throw themselves at the stage and at each other — first loves, hard drugs, the kind of friendships that mark you for good. The school was built by Patrice Chéreau, and the training is as brutal as the lives spilling around it. Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Sofiane Bennacer and Louis Garrel lead the ensemble.
Bruni-Tedeschi poured her own youth into the film, which screened in competition at Cannes in 2022. It plays as a bruised group portrait of a generation coming of age just as AIDS arrived.
