Synopsis

It's 1945. A one-armed war veteran named John Macreedy steps off a train at Black Rock, a desert town where no express has stopped in years. He's looking for a Japanese farmer whose son once saved his life in combat. Within hours it becomes clear that the whole town is hiding something. The local boss wants him gone. The few residents who might help won't meet his eyes. The harder Macreedy pushes, the colder the hostility gets — until the stakes shift from uncomfortable to lethal.
