Synopsis
My Summer in Provence (Avis de mistral, 2014) is a French family comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Roselyne Bosch sends three teenagers to spend the summer with a grandfather they have never met — their parents just split up, and the south of France turns out to be a lot less of a holiday than anyone expected.
Lia, Adrien and their younger brother Théo, who has been deaf since birth, arrive at old Paul's farm ready to resent every second of it. Jean Reno plays the grandfather without a single soft edge: stubborn, guarded, carrying decades of a family feud on his shoulders. The teenagers push back. Paul pushes harder. Then pieces of who he used to be in the 1970s start surfacing, and the standoff quietly shifts into something neither side saw coming.
