Dead Weight

Dead Weight (Le Boulet, 2002) is a French action comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Alain Berbérian and Frédéric Forestier. The catch: the prison guard named Reggio who bought it for him has already bolted with the ticket in his pocket.

Getting the money means breaking out of prison, chasing Reggio to Africa, and somehow surviving the Paris-Dakar rally with the man himself riding shotgun — despite being spectacularly useless. The police want Ace back. A gang of criminals wants the ticket. Nobody is making this easy. Benoît Poelvoorde and Gérard Lanvin handle the central duo, with early appearances from Omar Sy and Djimon Hounsou adding to the chaos.
