Synopsis
Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion (2018) is a French animated adventure comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Co-directed by Alexandre Astier and Louis Clichy, it's the first fully computer-animated feature from the Asterix franchise built on René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo's beloved comics.
When druid Getafix takes a nasty fall from an oak tree, the village's most guarded secret — the recipe for the magic strength potion — suddenly needs a new keeper. Asterix and Obelix hit the road across Gaul alongside the injured druid, auditioning young magic-makers for the job. Some candidates are frauds. And a scheming dark druid named Sulfurix wants the formula for himself.
Astier, who wrote the screenplay and voiced a character, gives the dialogue a sharper wit than earlier installments.
