Synopsis
Paris, 13th District (Les Olympiades, 2021) — watch online on iFILM this black-and-white French drama from Jacques Audiard. Émilie rents a room to Camille and what starts as convenience quietly becomes something else — briefly. Nora moves to Paris for a fresh start and finds herself tangled with Amber, a cam performer whose face got mistaken for Nora's online, turning her return into an unwanted spectacle. Audiard adapted the screenplay from three Adrian Tomine graphic novel stories, and that flat, precise visual sensibility carries through every scene.
The film picked up the Silver Lion at Venice 2021. Audiard is not interested in resolution — these four people drift in and out of each other's lives the way people actually do in a city, and the lack of tidy endings is exactly the point.
