About

Synopsis

Sgt. Bilko (1996) is a military comedy you can watch online on iFILM, with Steve Martin playing Sergeant Ernest Bilko — the fast-talking, card-sharping NCO who turned Fort Baxter's motor pool into his personal casino.

Bilko's platoon is made up of the least soldierly soldiers in US Army history, and he likes it that way. He can diagnose a broken engine without looking under the hood and smells a betting opportunity from two rooms away. The whole racket starts to unravel when his old nemesis Colonel Hall (Dan Aykroyd) shows up determined to finally bring him down. Phil Hartman plays the stiff-backed officer Hall brings along, and Chris Rock turns up among Bilko's hapless crew.

Director Jonathan Lynn updated the beloved 1950s TV series into a fast-paced romp that runs entirely on Martin's charm. It never slows down long enough to outwit you — it just keeps moving and grins the whole time. Stream Sgt. Bilko (1996) on iFILM.
