Synopsis
My Lady Jane (2024) — watch it online on iFILM — is an American alt-history fantasy series that takes Lady Jane Grey's tragic story and rewrites every part of it on purpose. The real Jane was Queen of England for nine days in 1553 and was beheaded. This version has other plans.
Set in a fantasy Tudor England where some people can shapeshift into animals, the show follows Jane (Emily Bader) — a voracious reader forced into marriage with Guildford Dudley (Edward Bluemel), a stranger. Court conspiracy follows, Dominic Cooper plays the villain with evident relish, and the anachronistic comedy runs thick enough to be its own genre. Adapted from the novel by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows, with Jamie Babbit and Stefan Schwartz directing.
