Synopsis
Frankenstein (2015) is Bernard Rose's horror retelling you can watch online on iFILM. Mary Shelley's novel moves to present-day Los Angeles, where married scientists Victor and Elizabeth grow a living man in their lab and name him Adam.
At first Adam looks like a flawless creation. Then his flesh starts to rot, and the couple abandon him to die. He doesn't die. He wanders out into the streets with the mind of a newborn, meeting only fists and fear. Rose tells the whole thing from Adam's point of view, so every cruelty lands as a fresh shock to someone who has never known kindness. Xavier Samuel plays the creature, with Carrie-Anne Moss and Danny Huston as the scientists who made and unmade him.
There's no Gothic castle and no lightning here — the dread comes from skid-row alleys and police violence, and the monster earns more pity than terror. The tagline says it plainly: man is the real monster. Stream Frankenstein (2015) online on iFILM.
