Synopsis
Sadako 3D (2012) is a Japanese horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A rumor spreads through a girls' school: somewhere online sits a cursed clip of a suicide, and everyone who watches it ends up taking their own life.
Teacher Akane brushes the story off as teenage nonsense. Then one of her students dies right after viewing the footage, and she and her boyfriend Takanori are pulled straight into the nightmare. Behind the file is a man determined to drag the deranged Sadako back into the world — the same vengeful spirit whose curse once crawled out of a videotape. Now the poison has migrated to the internet, where it travels faster than ever. Satomi Ishihara leads the cast, with Tsutomu Hanabusa directing.
This reboot of the iconic Ring franchise drops the familiar dread into the age of smartphones and viral video. It trades genuine creeping horror for flashy 3D set pieces, so fans of the original Ringu will likely take to it more as a curious remake than as a scare in its own right.
