Synopsis
Tokyo Revengers (東京リベンジャーズ, 2021) is a Japanese action crime film — watch it online on iFILM. Takemichi is twenty-six, unemployed and going nowhere when he learns that his middle school girlfriend Hinata and her brother have been killed by the Tokyo gang Toman.
The next day he gets shoved onto the tracks and wakes up twelve years in the past. He's a teenager again, and the gang that will one day destroy Hinata is still forming. Takemichi is not a fighter. He panics, gets beaten up, and keeps going anyway — which is what separates him from the usual revenge hero. Takumi Kitamura plays that particular brand of terrified-but-stubborn convincingly, and Ryô Yoshizawa brings a coiled intensity to the gang leader that makes every scene between them land. The time-travel mechanics tie back to present-day choices in ways that keep the plot from being a simple action loop.
