Synopsis

A year on, the tame deer grows wild, and the family faces a choice that will break Jody's heart.
Jane Wyman plays the guarded mother Orry, saying more in her silences than in her lines. Brown shapes a coming-of-age story that earns its tears honestly, where loving something means learning to let it go.
