Cobb

Cobb (1994) is a biographical drama you can watch online on iFILM. Ty Cobb was a baseball star whose name half of early-twentieth-century America knew by heart. In old age all that's left of the fame is money, illness and bile: he despises nearly everyone around him and pays a sportswriter to set down the "correct" version of his life.

Al Stump (Robert Wuhl) signs on to polish the legend, but up close he finds something else — a racist, a drunk and a bully who waves a pistol around and rewrites his own past to suit himself. The longer their road trip drags on, the harder it gets for Stump to tell where Cobb's truth ends and the convenient lie begins. Tommy Lee Jones plays this venomous wreck full tilt — pitiable and frightening at once.
