Synopsis
Vampires: The Turning (2005) is a Thailand-set horror action film you can watch online on iFILM — the third entry in the John Carpenter's Vampires franchise, directed by Martin Jay Weiss and starring Colin Egglesfield and Stephanie Chao.
Two vampire armies have been tearing each other apart for eight centuries in the shadows of Thailand. One answers to Niran, a warlord with a taste for cruelty; the other follows Song Neng, who has spent those same centuries trying to end his reign. Two American tourists stumble into the crossfire: Amanda is taken and turned, her friend Connor left to figure out whether he fights or loses her for good. Roger Yuan handles the fight choreography, and the film leans into that Southeast Asian setting rather than recreating the desert gothic of the original.
This one trades Carpenter's brooding atmosphere for martial arts action and an exotic backdrop — a different register from the first two films, but a solid choice for genre fans who want their vampire lore with a kick. Stream Vampires: The Turning (2005) on iFILM.
