In the aftermath, the Salinger children hold the household together by themselves. Charlie, the eldest at twenty-four (Matthew Fox), suddenly has to be a guardian despite barely managing his own life. Around him are gifted Bailey, fragile Julia (Neve Campbell), violin-playing teenager Claudia and baby Owen. Money is tight, arguments are constant, and one fear hangs over everything: that social services will split them up.

The show ran six seasons on Fox through 2000 and took home the Golden Globe for Best Drama. It also launched Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
