Synopsis
Dragon (武俠, 2011) is a Hong Kong-Chinese action thriller directed by Peter Ho-Sun Chan that you can watch online on iFILM. Set in rural Qing dynasty China, the film opens with a quiet paper craftsman named Liu Jinxi — a man with a wife, two sons, and a shed — who happens to neutralise two violent criminals with unsettling ease.
Donnie Yen plays Liu. Takeshi Kaneshiro is the detective Xu Baijiu, who reconstructs each encounter frame by frame, treating combat like forensic evidence. The more he examines the angles and force of each blow, the more convinced he is that Liu's hands belong to a trained killer hiding behind a farmer's life. Hunting that past brings danger to everything Liu built.
Chan shoots the fight sequences almost clinically — close on joints and tendons, slow enough to read the mechanics — which makes the violence feel heavier than in a standard wuxia film. Stream Dragon (2011) online on iFILM.
