Synopsis
Will & Harper (2024) is a documentary road movie you can watch online on iFILM. Comedian Will Ferrell and his close friend of thirty years, Harper Steele, set off across America after Harper comes out as a trans woman.
The two met writing for Saturday Night Live, and now they point the car from New York toward California. They stop at dive bars, basketball games and small towns, giving Harper the chance to meet the country again as herself. The front-seat conversations swing from funny to awkward to genuinely raw.
SNL friends turn up along the way — Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig, Seth Meyers and producer Lorne Michaels among them. Director Josh Greenbaum keeps the comic warmth but never loses the real subject: acceptance, and how an old friendship adjusts when one person finally lives as themselves.
