Synopsis
Mea Culpa (2024) — watch online on iFILM. A crime thriller written and directed by Tyler Perry, starring Kelly Rowland as Mia, a criminal defense attorney who agrees to represent Zsasz, an artist accused of murder, played by Trevante Rhodes. Taking the case turns out to be the easiest part.
Her marriage is already under strain. Her family doesn't approve. Her client is magnetic in a way that complicates everything. The closer she gets to the truth of what happened, the harder it becomes to stay on the right side of the line between professional obligation and personal desire. Perry keeps the pressure on both fronts — the courtroom and the bedroom — without giving the audience a clean read on who's actually telling the truth.
