Synopsis
My Summer of Love (2004) is a British drama directed by Paweł Pawlikowski — watch it online on iFILM. In a sleepy Yorkshire village, Mona is drifting: her brother has found God and turned stranger, her prospects are thin. Then Tamsin arrives for the summer from a wealthy family — restless, polished, and looking for something to want. They find each other.
Natalie Press plays Mona with a watchful, guarded energy; Emily Blunt, in one of her earliest screen appearances, is dangerously good as Tamsin — charming and unreliable in equal measure. Paddy Considine is quietly unnerving as the born-again brother. The film runs 87 minutes and doesn't waste a frame on explaining what these two women mean to each other.
Pawlikowski shoots it like a fever dream — golden and close and slightly airless. The ending doesn't let anyone off the hook. Stream My Summer of Love (2004) online on iFILM.
