Synopsis

Peggy Blumquist, a beautician with ambitions too big for a small town, and her husband Ed accidentally hit Rye Gerhardt with their car one night. They try to make it go away. Rye is the youngest son of Floyd Gerhardt, matriarch of the most powerful crime family in North Dakota, who wants answers. Kansas City mob arrives to absorb the Gerhardts' operation, and Floyd says no. Lou Solverson — Vietnam vet, young state trooper, Molly's father — and his father-in-law Sheriff Hank Larsson work a triple murder at a diner that keeps growing into something much larger. Three separate collisions, one converging catastrophe.
