Caveman

Caveman (1981) is a prehistoric slapstick comedy — watch it online on iFILM. Ringo Starr plays Atouk, a caveman cast out of his tribe; he and co-star Barbara Bach met on set and married the same year the film came out.

Atouk gets thrown out for eyeing the tribal boss's mate and starts gathering fellow outcasts. Together with friends played by Dennis Quaid and Shelley Long, he stumbles onto fire, cooked meat, and a workable approach to the stop-motion dinosaurs roaming the landscape. The entire cast communicates in an invented prehistoric dialect of roughly twenty syllables. Carl Gottlieb — who co-wrote Jaws — directed, and the film commits fully to its absurd premise without winking too hard at the camera. Watch Caveman (1981) online on iFILM.
