Synopsis
Anuvahood (2011) is a British urban comedy you can watch online on iFILM, co-directed by and starring Adam Deacon.
Kenneth — who insists everyone call him Kay — clerks away at a grocery store and burns to be a proper gangster, a respected rap artist, anything but what he actually is. He quits his job and sets out to take over streets that already have very firm opinions about him. The film speaks entirely in the slang and bravado of working-class London neighborhoods: it's less a crime parody than a self-own, with Kay's delusions played straight against a neighborhood that barely notices him.
