Synopsis
The Huckleberry Hound Show (1958) is a classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon you can watch online on iFILM. Sponsored by Kellogg's and sold straight to local stations, this animated anthology turned into a morning ritual for a whole generation of American kids.
Each episode bundles three short segments. Front and center is Huckleberry Hound himself, a blue dog with a slow Southern drawl who tackles every odd job with unshakable calm and usually botches it anyway. He shares the bill with Yogi Bear and little Boo Boo, forever scheming after picnic baskets, plus the mouse duo Pixie and Dixie, who find a fresh way to make a fool of Mr. Jinks the cat every single time.
This was William Hanna and Joseph Barbera's second series and the first animated show ever to win an Emmy. Simple linework, gentle gags and the exact tone that television animation would build on for decades. Stream The Huckleberry Hound Show online on iFILM.
