Synopsis

Somewhere in the war-torn Balkans, a milkman rides his donkey across the front line every morning, dodging sniper fire to bring his cans to the soldiers. What ignites between them sends the two of them running through a string of dangerous, dreamlike adventures.
A two-time Palme d'Or winner, Kusturica pours in his trademark mix: brass bands, Balkan slapstick, livestock underfoot and magical realism layered over real grief.
