Four violent teens escape a psychiatric institution and drag a young nurse along as a hostage. A vengeful Texas Ranger named Hal Hartman — carrying a personal grudge against the institution's most dangerous family — hunts them across open Texas scrubland. Among the escapees is a boy already walking toward something irreversible, the trauma accumulating scene by scene until a recognizable monster takes shape. Bustillo and Maury bring their French extreme-horror sensibility intact: the film is blunt and deliberately uncomfortable, with no interest in easing the audience into the mythology.
