About
Synopsis
The Music Never Stopped (2011) is a quiet American drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jim Kohlberg and drawn from Oliver Sacks' essay "The Last Hippie." J.K. Simmons plays Henry, a father trying to reach his estranged son Gabriel (Lou Taylor Pucci) after a brain tumor leaves the young man unable to form new memories.
The one thing that cuts through: music — the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones. Henry has to enter his son's world through songs he once dismissed. A small, carefully observed film about estrangement and the strange persistence of what we love. Stream it on iFILM.
