Synopsis
Over Your Dead Body (2014) is a Japanese horror film by Takashi Miike that you can watch online on iFILM. Actor Kosuke has landed the role of villain Iemon in a stage production of Yotsuya Kaidan — the eighteenth-century ghost story built around betrayal and slow supernatural revenge. His new lover Miyuki plays the doomed Oiwa.
As rehearsals deepen, the play's logic starts infecting real life. The jealousy and deception that belong to the period characters begin surfacing between actual people in the wings. Miike frames the film as a riddle with no clean dividing line between stage and reality — dread that accumulates rather than jolts.
