Synopsis

It is the summer of 1939. A finishing school on the English coast has an unusual student body: daughters of the Nazi elite, sent by Berlin to polish their English and charm the British establishment. A new teacher arrives and quickly sees the school for what it is — a soft-power operation run by true believers. When he tries to warn the authorities, they come after him instead. Everyone at that school has already picked a side.
The film draws on documented pre-war German intelligence activity in Britain, and Izzard spent years getting it made. It is less about explosions than about the creeping horror of watching people choose ideology over conscience, one polite conversation at a time.
