Synopsis
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (1986), Season 16 — watch online on iFILM, sixteen episodes of the PBS show in which Fred Rogers still greets you at the door and swaps his shoes for sneakers.
The year is grouped by theme once more. The first is families: they come in different shapes and sizes, a child is adopted, and as Rogers plants a single seed he talks about how slowly things grow and why waiting matters. The second is making and creating — how a wooden rocking horse takes shape, the plain satisfaction of building with your hands. The third is celebrations, big and small. Over in Make-Believe, King Friday claims a passing comet as his own and decrees a week of festivities, while everyone plans a surprise birthday party for Henrietta.
