TV-YSeason 20
Won't you be my neighbor?
Synopsis
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (1968), Season 20 is the PBS children's show — fifteen 1990 episodes you can watch online on iFILM. Twenty seasons in, Fred Rogers still talks big things over with little kids in plain words.
It begins where a lot of small viewers worry: what happens when parents go to work. They come back, and they love you even when they're somewhere else. From there the season turns to the environment — a real crisis hits the Neighborhood of Make-Believe when the landfill fills up, and everyone, the goats of Northwood included, pitches in to sort out the garbage. The closing episodes are about fathers and music, a warm stretch on dads and on what a home sounds like.
No moralizing, just the same unhurried voice that has carried the program since the late sixties. A trash episode was a bold thing to air in 1990, too. Stream Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Season 20 online on iFILM.
