Synopsis
Moon Landing (Il grande passo, 2020) is an Italian comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Antonio Padovan. Since age six, when he watched the first Moon landing on a black-and-white TV set, Dario (Giuseppe Battiston) has been assembling a homemade rocket on his farm — scrap metal, hardware-store bolts, and sheer stubbornness.
The first test launch scorches the neighbours' cornfield and lands him in jail. His only lifeline is Mario (Stefano Fresi), a half-brother he has met exactly once, who left the dying countryside for the city long ago. The two couldn't be further apart — one lives in the clouds, the other barely looks up. Battiston gives Dario a warmth that keeps the film grounded even when the ambitions aim for the stratosphere.
