Synopsis
Dieter — Der Film (2006) is a German animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Dieter Bohlen — co-founder of Modern Talking and Blue System — was named Germany's most popular person in 2004 and marked the occasion by making this cartoon about his own rise.
The film traces Bohlen's life from early childhood through his peak in pop music. Young Dieter figures out early that music gets you the girls and, more to the point, the money — and pursues both without hesitation. Directors Tobi Genkel and Michael Schaack keep the tone in self-deprecating comedy territory: a celebrity cheerfully lampooning himself in animated form.
