Synopsis
A Better Tomorrow III: Love and Death in Saigon (1989) is a Hong Kong crime action film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Tsui Hark, it rewinds the John Woo saga to its beginning, before Mark Lee ever put on that famous coat.
Saigon, 1974. Mark (Chow Yun-Fat) travels into a collapsing city to get his uncle and cousin Mun out before the war ends. Nothing goes to plan. Guns move on every corner, evacuation turns to panic, and a sharp arms dealer named Kit — played by Cantopop legend Anita Mui — pulls both men into her orbit. The love and the death of the title arrive together.
