TV-14Synopsis
Naked and Afraid (2013), Season 1 is the survival reality you can watch online on iFILM — seven episodes, the Discovery debut that launched the whole franchise.
The setup never changes, and it is merciless. A man and a woman who have never met are dropped together with no clothes, no food and no water, each allowed a single survival item, and given 21 days to make it out. Then it is just two strangers against the wild. The season tours Costa Rican jungle where a producer once took a venomous snakebite, the Serengeti in Tanzania, the sunbaked Maldives, the alligator swamps of Louisiana, and Borneo, where one pair fights sickness and starvation. The finale rewrites the rules, dropping two duos at opposite ends of the Panamanian rainforest until they have to join forces.
What carries it isn't spectacle but psychology: hunger, heat and distrust wear people down faster than any predator. Stream Naked and Afraid Season 1 online on iFILM.
