Synopsis
Into the White (2012) is a war drama based on a true incident from April 1940 that you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Petter Næss, with Rupert Grint, David Kross, and Florian Lukas leading a strong ensemble, the film is a Norwegian-led co-production shot against unforgiving winter landscapes.
A British and a German aircraft shoot each other down over occupied Norway. Both crews crash-land on the same snowbound plateau and stumble into the same hunting cabin. The Germans are armed, so the British become prisoners — for about as long as it takes to realise that the blizzard outside doesn't care which side you're on. Food runs out. The fire needs feeding. Somebody has to go for wood.
The film strips the Second World War down to six men in one room, and that compression is exactly what makes it work. It never lectures about fraternity — it just shows what happens when survival leaves no room for ideology. Stream Into the White (2012) online on iFILM.
