Synopsis
Serving Sara (2002) is a road comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Reginald Hudlin. Process server Joe Tyler gets what looks like a routine job: find Sara Moore and hand her divorce papers before her wealthy Texas rancher husband's lawyers can arrange a friendlier filing.
Sara — played by Elizabeth Hurley — has a counter-offer the moment she reads the documents. Under U.S. law, whoever serves papers first gets to pick the jurisdiction. If Joe switches sides and serves the husband instead, Sara controls the case and the ranch that goes with it — worth several million dollars. Matthew Perry plays Joe as a man improvising under pressure, which suits the film's rhythm: nothing goes to plan, everything moves fast. Amy Adams appears in one of her early screen roles; Terry Crews and Cedric the Entertainer fill out the ensemble with enough energy to keep the cross-country chase from stalling.
It's a lightweight screwball premise that doesn't overreach — ninety minutes of breezy comic maneuvering. Perry and Hurley generate enough friction to carry it. Stream Serving Sara (2002) online on iFILM.
