Dead Space: Aftermath
The End was only the Beginning.
Synopsis
Dead Space: Aftermath (2011) is an animated sci-fi horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Mike Disa. It bridges the storyline between the first two Dead Space games, filling in what happened after the Ishimura went dark.
The year is 2509. The USG O'Bannon, sent to find the Ishimura and Isaac Clarke, has gone silent. Four survivors are pulled off the ship — barely coherent, deeply damaged, each telling a different story to government interrogators. The film cuts between those testimonies, and the truth that surfaces is worse than any of them let on. Christopher Judge and Graham McTavish lead the voice cast.
What makes Aftermath stand out from other game tie-in animations is the deliberate visual split: some sequences are rendered in a Western style, others in a Japanese anime aesthetic, and the mismatch mirrors the fractured psychology of the characters themselves. If you played the games, this fills in a gap that matters; if you didn't, it holds up as a claustrophobic deep-space nightmare in its own right. Stream Dead Space: Aftermath (2011) online on iFILM.
