Synopsis
Ocean with David Attenborough (2025) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM. Now in his hundredth year, the famed naturalist takes the viewer beneath the surface with a plain message: across a very long life, he has found no place more vital to our survival than the sea.
The camera drops to coral reefs, drifts through kelp forests and out into the open blue where life thrives far from any shore. Attenborough lays out how a healthy ocean keeps the whole planet's climate steady, and he doesn't soften the alarm — bottom trawling, bleached reefs, waters going quiet. Yet this isn't a film about despair. Directors Colin Butfield, Toby Nowlan and Keith Scholey hand the second half to recovery, showing how fast the sea bounces back once it's given room to breathe. Eighty-odd minutes shot to make you hold your breath. Stream Ocean with David Attenborough (2025) online on iFILM.
