About
Synopsis
Puff: Wonders of the Reef (2021) is a nature documentary you can watch online on iFILM. The camera shrinks down to the microscopic edge of the Great Barrier Reef and trails a newborn pufferfish hunting for somewhere safe to settle.
Director Nick Robinson shot the reef with macro lenses, so plankton, crab larvae and see-through molluscs end up looking like creatures from another planet. Rose Byrne narrates, guiding you through the baby's first fragile weeks among bioluminescent nights and constant threats. It runs under an hour, was made for Netflix, and lives or dies on its photography — which turns out to be reason enough. One for anyone who likes slow, meditative underwater films. Stream Puff: Wonders of the Reef (2021) online on iFILM.
