Synopsis
The Deepest Breath (2023) — watch online on iFILM. Director Laura McGann's documentary follows Italian freediving champion Alessia Zecchini and Irish safety diver Stephen Keenan as they push toward a record-breaking dive.
Freediving means going deep on a single breath — no tanks, no second chances. Alessia descends past a hundred metres. Stephen is the man waiting at depth, there to bring divers back up if something goes wrong. Their careers converge, and McGann builds their story with the slow patience the sport demands.
