Synopsis
Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (2005) is an OLM animated feature you can watch online on iFILM. Director Kunihiko Yuyama centered the eighth Pokémon film on a pair of legends: Mew, a creature whose powers defy classification, and Lucario, a Pokémon sealed inside a knight's staff for centuries and carrying a question he can't yet answer.
At the Cameran Palace festival, Ash wins the tournament and is named honorary Aura Guardian. Then Mew appears and takes Pikachu to the Tree of Beginning — a living, breathing landmark deep in the mountains. Ash follows. Lucario, awakened after a hundred years of isolation, guides the search while piecing together what really happened between him and his master Sir Aaron. Rika Matsumoto voices Ash; Koichi Yamadera handles multiple key roles.
Of all the Advanced Generation films, this one pushes the hardest on loyalty and betrayal as actual plot mechanics rather than background themes. It hits differently for viewers who grew up with the franchise and works cleanly for younger audiences coming in fresh. Stream Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew online on iFILM.
