Synopsis

The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005) is a quiet family drama you can watch online on iFILM. Jack Slavin, an aging environmentalist with a failing heart, has raised his daughter Rose alone on the remains of an island commune, far from anyone else.

At sixteen, Rose has never known a world beyond her father. Sensing his time is short, Jack moves his girlfriend Kathleen and her two teenage sons onto the island — and the sealed-off little kingdom he built for Rose starts to come apart. Daniel Day-Lewis plays a father whose devotion shades into control; Camilla Belle is the girl that love both protects and damages. Catherine Keener, Paul Dano, Jason Lee and Jena Malone round out the household.
