Synopsis
School of Life (2005) is a family dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. Every year, Fallbrook Middle School votes for its favorite teacher — and for more than forty years running, the stern Norman Warner took the prize.
After his death, the job passes to his son, Matt Warner (David Paymer), who has spent his whole life in the old man's shadow. Then a charismatic newcomer shows up: Mr. D, played by a pre-fame Ryan Reynolds, who turns every lesson into an adventure and wins the students over on day one. Stung, Matt quietly declares war on his rival for the coveted award. What nobody knows is that Mr. D is carrying a secret that will change the whole school.
Directed by William Dear as a TV movie, it rides on the easy chemistry between Paymer and Reynolds — caught here right before his career took off.
