Developers are clearing Farthing Wood. Fox gathers every animal left without a home — badger, rabbits, field mice, weasel — and leads them across roads, farms and human settlements toward a protected nature reserve. Three seasons, none of them gentle. Characters can die; danger is real. That willingness to take the story seriously, instead of softening it for young audiences, is what kept this series running across two dozen European countries and what still makes it worth returning to.
