Shakedown

A burned-out public defender (Peter Weller) takes the case, and a scruffy undercover cop who stopped following the rulebook long ago (Sam Elliott) backs him up. Director James Glickenhaus shoots it loud and reckless: shootouts, a chase along an elevated highway and one stunt jump that sticks with you. A sturdy late-'80s actioner for anyone who misses the days when the action was done for real, no computer in sight. Antonio Fargas and a young John C. McGinley round out the cast.
